001 — Brand Positioning

Wind / Stillness / Simplicity

K08 began as a family kiosk, just the eighth on Rio’s shoreline. But with time, sea, and wind, it grew into something more: a club, a sport community, and now, a kite-surfing resort up north in Galinhos. We shaped their positioning around the elements that define them—wind, sun, sand—and the way each of these holds movement and rest.

002 — Visual Identity

We designed a new identity for both the Club and the Bungalows, starting from the ground up. The former branding was rustic and handmade. We kept the warmth, but brought in precision. A monogram in disguise, the new logo fuses K, 0 and 8 into a single form: linear, architectural, almost elemental. The Club leans blue, the Bungalows lean green, and together they hold a system as calm and as deliberate as the spaces themselves.

003 — Wild Card

From embroidered uniforms to engraved plates, every brand touchpoint was considered to blend in quietly and still hold weight. We designed wind direction markers, beach signage, takeaway bags, cups, napkins, printed menus, and even environmental notes asking visitors to respect the coast. The logo translates fluently across materials: light when needed, anchored when not. Some pieces are visible now, many are still unfolding. It’s a living system.

One of the biggest challenges was deciding whether the Club and the Bungalows should live under the same digital roof. In the end, they do. The new Shopify website brings both experiences together under K08 Holding, guiding users to choose their path: stay, surf, eat, or all three. Built for speed and managed by a lean team, the platform holds everything from restaurant bookings to kite classes. This was also the first project we tailored fully for a Brazilian audience. We brought in a local copywriter to join our team, someone who could write in a way that felt both native and elevated. We wholeheartedly believe it made all the difference.
