No. 1 Business Roadmap

Shannon's journey as a ceramist and concrete artist began in a time of stillness—the lockdowns. What started as a deeply personal craft evolved into a business that secured her B2B partnerships, but something had been lost along the way. The personal touch that once defined her brand felt distant, as B2C sales faltered and her connection to individual consumers faded. Drawing from The Experience Economy, we positioned her brand as a hands-on, ethical, and artisanal experience, expanding her reach to a global, eco-conscious market.

No. 2 Visual Identity

Shannon's passion for working with her hands inspired every step of the visual identity process. We started with raw materials—charcoal sketches for a custom typeface that echoed her love for tactile creation. The result was a logo with subtle imperfections, celebrating the organic, hand-crafted nature of her ceramics. The type was later digitised, giving it a modern edge without losing the charm of its hand-drawn origins.

No. 3 Wild Card Day

On our design intensive day, we turned our focus to the details. We used her Wild Card to work on packaging, thank you cards, and price tags that carried Shannon’s story into every product she sent out. The packaging featured illustrations inspired by her pieces, bringing texture and a splash of colour. The playful, vibrant design echoed Shannon's warm personality, making her brand feel alive and inviting to all who encountered it.

testimonial

The process was extremely helpful and gave me a clear understanding of how the team translated our conversations into the design. It's the first time I have been part of a process like this and I fully trust Nina in the direction presented.

Behind the Scenes

I was walking through Glasgow in early spring, when the sidewalks began to change. The grey, weathered stones were suddenly interrupted by clusters of wildflowers—pinks, yellows, and soft blues, bursting through the cracks. There, in the heart of the city, nature was taking back space, quietly but persistently. The colours struck me, not because they overwhelmed the landscape, but because they whispered in contrast, subtle yet vibrant. It was then I thought of Shannon’s brand, and how a touch of these wildflower hues could bring life to her artwork.

It wasn’t about mimicking the flowers exactly, it was about capturing that spark of life emerging from a more subdued backdrop. The challenge was to integrate these colours in a way that kept the design minimal, restrained. There’s something quietly powerful about travel—how it sneaks into your work without asking. The juxtaposition of nature’s raw energy with the calm, deliberate craftsmanship of Shannon’s ceramics brought a new dimension to her brand. The world around us is always full of inspiration, you just have to slow down enough to notice it.
